- Ball Size: 28.5"
- Game Length: 40 Minutes (20 Minute Halves)
- Halftime: 5 Minutes
- Timeout's: 2 Per Half
- Clock Stop On TO: 1 Minute
- Free Throws: 1 or 2 (1pt each)
- Full Court Defense: All game
Game Structure
Game Length:
- Two 20-minute halves, 40 minutes total.
- The clock runs continuously, except for the last 2 minutes of the second half when it stops for dead balls.
Halftime Break: 5 minutes.
Overtime:
- A 3-minute overtime period will be played with a stopped clock during dead balls.
- Each team gets one additional 30-second timeout.
- If still tied, a sudden-death format (first to score) will be implemented.
Gameplay Rules
Starting the Game:
Substitutions:
- Must occur during dead balls and be completed within 30 seconds.
Inbounding:
- Teams have 5 seconds to inbound the ball after a stoppage.
- The ball must cross half-court within 10 seconds of inbounding.
Scoring:
- Shots beyond the 3-point arc are worth 3 points.
- All other field goals are worth 2 points.
- Free throws are worth 1 point each.
Full-Court Press:
- Allowed throughout the entire game.
Defensive Play:
- Teams may play man-to-man or zone defense.
- Stealing is permitted at all times.
- Blocking shots is allowed.
- Swarm/trap presses are permitted at both half-court and full-court levels.
Fouls
Personal Fouls:
- A player is disqualified after 6 personal fouls.
Team Fouls:
- 7 team fouls result in a one-and-one bonus.
- 10 team fouls result in a double bonus (two free throws).
Free Throws:
- Must be shot from behind the free-throw line.
- Players may not enter the key until the ball hits the rim.
Player and Team Conduct
Equipment:
- Players must wear official jerseys with visible numbers provided by the league.
- Jewelry, hats, and other accessories are prohibited.
Substitutions:
- Substitutes must check in at the scorer’s table and wait for the referee’s signal to enter.
Unsportsmanlike Behavior:
- First Offense: Verbal warning from the referee.
- Second Offense: Technical foul.
- Third Offense: Ejection from the game.
Spectator Conduct:
- Coaches are responsible for their spectators’ behavior.
- Referees may stop the game or remove disruptive spectators.
Administrative Rules
Rosters:
- Players must be registered and listed on the team roster.
- No additions are allowed after the start of the season.
Late Arrival:
- Teams must have at least 4 players to avoid forfeiting.
- If forfeited, the game will still be played for fun.
Timeouts:
- Each team is allowed 2 timeouts per half.
- During the last 2 minutes of the game, the clock will stop for timeouts.
Referees and Scoring
Referee Authority:
- Referees have full authority to enforce all rules and make final decisions during gameplay.
- Protests regarding referee decisions are not allowed.
Scorekeeping:
- The official score is maintained at the scorer’s table.
Tracking Fouls:
- Fouls will be tracked by the scorer’s table.
Free Throw Lane Violations:
- Players may not enter the key until the ball hits the rim.
Safety and Sportsmanship
Injury Timeout:
- Referees may stop the clock for injuries at their discretion.
- Injured players must be substituted if play stops for more than 30 seconds.
Head Injuries:
- Players suspected of having a concussion must leave the game immediately and cannot return without medical clearance.
Blood Rule:
- Players with visible blood on their uniforms or body must leave the court and resolve the issue before returning.
Tournament and Playoffs
- Tournaments will be played during the last two weeks of the season.
- Playoff ties will result in a 3-minute overtime period.
- In the event of a tie at the end of overtime, a shootout format will determine the winner, with three players from each team taking alternating free throws.
